Great weekend. Wall to wall sunshine with some wind Sunday afternoon. Started with tea on the beach supplied by Mike. No-one else around so after a couple of hours in the sunshine we headed off for a bike ride to Stanton House-rewarded with great cake. Evening at the Yew tree was fun. Andrew, Mike, Steve, Leude, Fiona all turned up for good food and a few beers. Sunday was a slow start but Yole, Steve, Juan, Gen and the boys were all down. Gen braved the water first initially on a SUP with sail and then changed to a windsurf board as the wind picked up. I followed a bit later and was rewarded with a nice sail. As Gen and I came off the water Jonathan arrived and went out. As I left The BBQ had been lit and sausages were being cooked - great idea-smelt great.

Oh crap. I took the kids to Tankerton, as I didn't ask if anyone with kids would be around today (I was baby-sitting). Eva had a go on our new beginner's board - brave girl like Gen!, but Lucas only managed ankle deep water.
Will make sure I check next time! Glad you guys managed a sail. I didn't

Expected it to be a pretty poor sail as there did not seem to be much wind. Encouraged by Gen I went out anyway and really enjoyed it. First sail of the season and the wind picked up shortly after I got on the water so was planing most of the time. Good start to the season if a little later than usual!
