Had 3 hours or so down at Poole Harbour this morning
Got in a few decent runs on my Rocket with a Ezzy 6.5
Quite windy at times, but got a bit flukey about 12 noon
As I was packing up it then got windy again
Great to see so many people down there, there were more Windsurfers than tea baggers, which is good to see!

We were too late for the morning tide so took the risk of waiting for the afternoon low tide. Initially thought it was a mistake - a squall came through just as I got on the water and was seriously overpowered and it started raining. However, I hung on and it blew through as the rain stopped. Still fairly overpowered but great fun!

Overpowered some of the time and pretty lumpy but great fun although quite hard work (we can't have that can we, no Bill we can't). But justified a lamb shank and a pint at the Yew Tree.

Got down to the beach early. Beautifully sunny. Started with 92l board but it wasn't enough so changed boards. Then some pleasant cruising in the sunshine.

Made an early start to catch the tide. Not quite the wind strength forecast but nice and sunny. Bit up and down but a nice cruising sail in flat conditions.

Trying out my new North Silver Boom & Power XTR extension
Rating:2 star rating
Board:150 litres

Beginner notes - Only second time out this year. Last time was the first with the new Shark 150 and North Gold mast and this time with my new North silver boom plus Power XTR Power extension. The 25% drop in ltrs from my Viper 80 to the Shark 150 was more noticeable this time as there was more wind and wave, but I'm certainly impressed with the extra speed and keen to get properly hooked in soon. Would've been better with a little more sun :)
