What a weekend! Wall to wall sunshine, lots of people down. Sailing, swimming, castle building, surfing of sorts, cycling and a BBQ. BBQ resulted in a few sore heads Sunday morning but worth it!

Beautiful day, bit of wind so rigged up. Timing was terrible - wind dropped to virtually nothing. Probably the shortest sail on record. Tried to beach start - couldn't so up hauled. Stood on board, wobbled around but not moving - so packed it in and had a swim instead. Great to see lots of people at the beach

Another beautiful day. Went for a cycle first with Audrey then headed to the beach after lunch. Rigged up and blobbed around for a while - caught the odd swell on the way in. Came in. A bit later noticed Gen was planing so had another go - surprisingly got going and had an enjoyable sail. Thanks Gen! All in all a fantastic weekend.

Time on water:1hour. Time planing: 5 seconds. Was it worth it: yes, definitely. A classic summers day at Hayling, really good to be out on the water.

Wind was similar ti Saturday, starting building around midday, but then justt when it should be good sea breeze time it dropped off.

A great weekend, big thanks to Bill and Heather for an excellent bbq and party on Saturday.

A very genteel wander around the seafront on the biggest board with the biggest sail, occasionally teased by the surf-powered acceleration into thinking planing might be possible. A very pleasant afternoon spent with the other OMWCers on the beach, thanks all. And nice to see Heather and Gen having a good time :)
