What a beautiful day. Wall to wall sunshine. Met with Audrey, John and Bill at Esso for an hour or so beach cleaning - our unofficial surfers against sewage event. Then off to the front - really low tide. Had a nice sail - just enough wind to get planing most of the time. There were also a few small swells that were fun. Went to The Inn On The Beach for dinner - great day.

Well, that turned out well! The impromptu beach clean at Esso Beach was a success, at least, we found lots of rubbish and moved it to a different place, in more of a pile. What's with q-tips?? The clue is in the sewage overspill... And big thanks to Audrey, Bill and Heather for humouring my madness :)

And then to the seafront - sunny, so sunny! Let's face it, you have to get out there when it's like that, even if it is a dodgy 6.5 and 116l. Excellent, chilled, skill-developing sailing, working on planing, and working upwind to the ankle biters bit aka the little wavelets on the sandbar. And coming back in on the waves - great stuff! Well done Audrey, on christening the new boom - maybe get a new 6.5m sometime soon eh? Think how good that would be. Good to see Andrew too, getting out there in the "winter"...

Went home via mate's house to check out his new bass, then back for tea - excellent day!

A really pleasant sail. A few planing runs but most of the time just cruising in the aftrenoon sun.
Then a good evening at IOTB, followed by a very lazy & enjoyable Sunday with Heather, Bill & Audrey.

Summer starts here, yaaaa
