Sunday Sailing?

Started by Started by: CarolI
Hi all

I can't make it as far as Weymouth this weekend sadly, but I'm hoping to get to the South Coast tomorrow (Sunday) somewhere closer to London.
Is there anyone else planning to sail somewhere closer to London eg Hayling? It would be great to see some friendly faces!

And does anyone ever windsurf on any of the lakes near London on a windy weekday?

Happy Bank Holidays

Myself some of the north devon crew and a few other omwc members sail at datchet water on week days. More information about datchet coming soon.

Hi Carol, I'm tied up in the morning but if there is some decent wind I'll be up for a sail in the afternoon - on the sea front at Hayling. High tide is about 10.00am so midday is probably the earliest you want to be sailing anyhow - so if you come down and I'm not on the beach give me a ring - 07715 484 245, Mike.

Hello Carol,

I was considering Poole or Bramblebush Bay, this weekend, but other family plans have got in the way.

For Lakes close to W.London, I can recommend Littleton Lake, nr Shepperton. It is easy to join the club, and the showers are nice and hot. There's a storage garage/racks if you need space to store your gear.

Check the activity on the webcam.

I also used to visit Datchet, Queen Mother Reservoir. I did lots of training courses with Datchet Water Sports.

More in another post.
