Wall to wall sunshine. Got down to the beach about mid day ish and it looked stunning with the sand bar and not a cloud in the sky.. Steve was already out on his SUP with a sail and there was a charity event on for Parkinson's disease which added to the fun as you could use kayaks and SUPS for a donation to the charity.

After a bit of a play on the SUPS I rigged up the big kit and had a great time. Bill and Audrey followed on also with big kit. Mike arrived late as the wind was dropping but headed out anyway and Andrew arrived as we were just coming off the water. New member Oliver also seemed to have had a good day.

BBQ at our house was great fun. 12 of us in all. Loads of food and booze consumed and everyone headed off happy in the small hours.

Sunday proved to be equally sunny but no extra sea breeze as the wind was SE. Everyone still had great fun on the SUP, SUP with sail, windsurf board with paddle and Andrew actually went out with his windsurf kit and had an enjoyable investigation of the sand bar from the water.

All in all a successful weekend.

Wall to wall sunshine and the wind kicked in enough for me to be planing for a couple of hours. Lovely. Steve G was out on his SUP with a sail, Audrey and Bill out sailing too. Mike arrived late but still went out. There was a charity event in aid of Parkinson's disease -so lots of SUPS and kayaks to play with as well. Great day on, in and around the water. New member Oliver introduced himself -hope to see him out on the water again soon. Great BBQ at our house in the evening - finally got to bed in the small hours.

Got down the beach late afternoon and was encouraged to see Heather, amongst others, planing! Rigged large but whilst I was tantalisingly close to planing couldn't quite get there :( but despite that it was a gorgeous day, the water was almost warm and it was just a pleasure to be out.

A thoroughly enjoyable sail despite almost no wind.

No chance of planing, but just enough breeze to get me going. Had great fun tack-gybe-tack-tack-gybing my way to the very end of the sandbar,. Stopped for a chat with the locals, then gybe-gybe-gbyed my way back to the beach.

A bit upset that I missed out on Saturdays sail, but otherwise an brilliant weekend. Thanks to H & B for another excellent BBQ, etc, etc, etc.
