Another great weekend - the rain held off, the sun came out, and so did all the splashers, bashers, catchers, runners, jumpers - those amazingly energetic and enthusiastic kids that so enjoy the weekend. Some of them were even under 30 :).

A very mellow couple of days, for those whose vehicles worked properly or whose genetic inheritors remained undamaged! Yannis' note says it all really. Pete's mellow tunes sounded great echoing across the campus, between the historic hangars and swirling round the parked boats. Wish I'd brought my guitar!

The organiser would like to take this opportunity to apologise for the lack of wind, and has undertaken to rectify this for next year.

See you then!

Diary for Andrew at Lepe & Calshot on 19/07/14

Andrew pondering life.

After about an hour of watching the gazeebo walk around the campsite, I finally decided to rig up - just in time to catch the last 5 minutes of wind. Still, I got out on the water and got planing (briefly) so it was worth it.

Otherwise another fantastic summer bash, more details soon.

Loom-band frenzy
19/07/14

Too busy to write an extensive review. Weekend had almost everything: sweat, blood, tears, rain, live music, flat car batteries, loom-bands and mud. Only wind was in short supply, but this whole summer has been a bit of a downer.

A big thank you to Gary for jump-starting my car and to Gabi for taking care of injured Eva while Gary and I were jump-starting my car!

Great weekend, thanks for organising it John. I have to be honest, on Thursday/Friday I was a little fearful that your guarantee of no rain might have been ill judged - but you were good to your word (as ever). Now, what can you do about wind??

As usual, excellent weekend, venue, company & great weather.
Shame about the lack of wind, but hey ho !
