Absolutely fantastic day at Shoreham.

The 101 and 5.5 (my favourite combination) was spot-on. Really nice to be sailing in proper swell, rather than solent/hayling chop. I got out around mid-day and sailed for hours in perfect conditions, the warm sea-breeze made it fell like I was abroad. Around 3:30 the wind picked up a notch or two, so I quit while I was winning. There was a really good friendly crowd at Shoreham and not too many on the water. So, all in all, the best sail this year.

Big thanks also to Audrey for hosting.

An ok sail at Ferring

What a difference a day makes. Grey, overcast, cold and raining. But it was still windy and coinditions on the water looked good. Yet again the 101 and 5.5 was spot-on. The sailing was excellent, but after yesterdays fun in the sun, it just wasn't the same, so quit after an hour.

It might not have been sunny today but great wind. First hour or so was flatwater freestyle, then some nice ramps on the sand bar and even a few waverides. The waves then subsided and it was back to freestyle. Plenty of people out but the sailing was spread over a pretty wide area.
5.9 was the perfect size for today.
