Another excellent summer bash. Plenty of sunshine, some wind (more after I left, boo), plenty of good company, bbq and general summer enjoyment, perfect.

Yet again the Calshot location was just right. Kids and dogs could run around, parents could watch and windsurfers could windsurf.

Great to see everyone, same again next year please.

Big board, big sail, planing on and off. Ok, so not the most exciting sail this year but fun enough with a few other OMWCers in what seems to be the usual summer bash sail. Good company and a great evening, so I was happy.

Summerbash weekend so despite the wind being full of holes it would have been a shame not to have gone out. Turns out there were more holes than wind so in the end I took the kids' board. Nice wide, high volume board - perfect - other than the sun lotion had turned it into an ice rink. Anyway, this worked rather better than my Skate in the light wind, ice rink or not...

Spent an hour in the water but planed for about 5 minutes. And that 8.4m sail gets very heavy when not planing. Kept looking for those pockets of wind, but they were full of holes!

What another great weekend at Calshot with plenty of friends to share it with. I kind of messed up the sailing a bit by being slow to rig up, then noticing a small hole in my board probably sustained yesterday and by the time I'd done a quick repair the wind had pretty much died. Even sailing up to the shop for a look over the other side failed to produce any more wind. Fortunately, the evening more than made up for it.

A very pleasant weekend spent at calshot meeting up with other members of the club. Sunday turned out to be a real surprise , the forecast was for rain & no wind, and we got bright sunshine & plenty of warm wind, could not of asked for more, it made a nice change to sail with the club.

As Nigel said, rain and no wind forecast and instead we got scorching sun and wind. Still a bit gusty in the lagoon but would have been a shame to have trekked all the way to the other side of the spit.
Stuck to my board this time which proved adequate. Followed Beachaddict's lead and tried a few lame vulcan attempts (mine, not Beachaddict's). Escaped with no ankle injury which I think is always a measure of success when trying vulcans.
Got a decent few hours in and only stopped when a harness line broke - can now see the logic of transparent harness line tubes!

A great weekend - thanks to John for his remote organisation and Andrew for his not-so-remote organisation!

Now that was an epic day! Started with an SUP session at about 9am. Was already a bit breezy, but braved it (beginner's foolishness) and paddled to the tugboats and back. Straight after, I hopped on the windsurfing kit that was left rigged from Saturday. After an hour's worth of starting and stopping the wind picked up and the rest is history! Stopped some time in the afternoon when I got blisters on my hands. Lots of people in the water attempting various stunts. I stuck to my agenda which was gybe, gybe and gybe.

Who would have thought we could be camped a few yards from the water and we'd actually get enough wind to sail both days of a July weekend. Sunday was even enough for me to use a 5.4m. OK so it was a tad underpowered at times but perfect when the wind gusted up. What a great weekend.

Great to see everyone at Calshot (another year gone).
Great weather and windsurfing both days.
Sunday just got sunnier and windier add a beer and you can't wish for more.
