Managed to get away early and get a Friday afternoon sail at Lepe

Wind was patchy and most of the locals seemed unhappy but I enjoyed it.

The conditions weren't scintillating but it is always a pleasure to sail at the summerbash with good company on dead flat water. Unfortunately the wind dropped off pretty quickly (although didn't feel like that when I was trying to light my BBQ an hour later).
A number of us participated in a somewhat bizarre semi-rescue which resulted from two young children falling off a catamaran and indeed I believe it was Lawrence who righted the catamaran.

Another lovely summerbash weekend which seemed to be enjoyed by adults and children alike - indeed on Sunday the kids on/in the water definitely outnumbered the parents!

First time out on the Speedster. A beast to manage but very forgiving. Great for practising going on a straight line, and those lazy gybes... I could enter in a downward dog position and still manage to turn! Looking forward to less erratic wind next time, probably not in Calshot!

Weekend gathering was fab. Great to see folks we haven't seen for a couple of years.

The usual excellent summer bash at Calshot, with the added bonus of a strong sea breeze.

I really enjoyed the conditions for a while, sunny windy and great company. Wind was building to the point where I thought I might change down, but then cloud came over and killed it a bit. Great fun while it lasted.
