Fifteen or so Oceanmotionites enjoyed the conditions but we were down to a hard core of six enjoying the Yew Tree's fare by the evening - this was probably due to the forecast for Sunday which was pretty dire - and unfortunately turned out to deadly accurate as well!! By the time late Tate turned up to check out the boot fare the torential rain had reduced to a drizzle but there was nothing to get excited about unless watching Peter Hart take a class would get you excited. Carl and Marion, Chris and Lyanne and I all gave up around midday - with Chris Martin and Stevie G having sensibly given up earlier!

"Interesting" day...
Started on nothing after lunch, no wind, just solid walls of rain...
Then picked up, used 6.5 m and "Evva"'s Hifly MADD to get going, but then...
The sun came out and it picked up nicely, 102l and 5.5. went well, until I got tired and came in. Solid! And good to see Juan there too - see you soon!

We arrived late afternoon and managed to catch the first sunshine as the heavy rains from earlier began to clear and head inland. The wind had picked up to around F5 and it suddenly started to feel like summer again with bright blue water and whitecaps everywhere. On the water it soon became apparent that the solent chop was in full effect. It was difficult to pick out a proper swell to gybe on in amongst all the random chop but good fun trying. Every now and then the odd ramp would rear up out of the confused sea, allowing the occasional small jump. Some good food and a few beers in the Yew Tree rounded the day off nicely. Unfortunately, Sunday was just wet cold and very light winds.

This weekend mirrored last weekend to an uncanny extent!! Saturday afternoon the rain stopped and the wind kicked in mid afternoon - but just as per last week I ended up with both my 98l and 125l boards on the beach together with my 5.7 and 7.4 sails - unable to find the right combination! Conclusion was - buy a 6.5m2 sail!!
Sunday it just rained all day and everone had gone home by 12.30
