We had a fantastic day Sunday - windy, windy & sunny. A super Saturday evening, even though we all wanted to be fit and ready for a Sunday morning sail. And a pleasant light wind day on Saturday.

A long time since I have managed a session after work but tonight I managed a 'splash and dash'. The first rule of splash and dash club (other than there is no splash and dash clu8) is not to ponce about and just rig up and make do with what you have rigged.
Unfortunately I rigged for the lull thinking the wind was dropping but after a bit of floating the wind returned with a vengeance, I would have been better on my 4.7 or even 4.2.
Still a decent sail and I came off the water at 9 as the squalls were making it hard to see the shore in the twilight.

Nice morning and as I was nominal host headed to the beach despite there not being much wind. Andrew and I decided to go out anyway. Was actually quite fun on the bar catching mini waves.

Almost no wind, but there were tiny waves on the sandbar - just enough to make it worth going out, great fun.

Good sail. Well powered up! Good to see the lesser spotted Audrey actually on the water - hopefully not the only time this year!! Bill, Andrew and Jonathan also all on the water enjoying themselves in the sunshine.

An excellent mornings sail at Hayling. Nicely powered up on 5.8.

Classic Hayling chop made it hard work. Yet again I wished I had more energy, next time I'll follow Heathers advice and eat more energy-giving food.

Lots of others on the water, an excellent day.

Perfect timing, perfect sail choice. I felt pretty smug today.
The consensus seemed to be 5.5 - 6 but I had a sneaky feeling the wind was coming up so opted for a small sail and big board. Good choice, a bit marginal to start with but the wind built to the point where later on I wondered if I should be on my 4.7. Very good fun. What I wasn't quite so smart about was the application of sun screen, oops...
