Bramblebush 5-6 May 2018

Carl at Poole

Poole

Poole is one of the best windsurfing areas in England for beginners and intermediates due to the enormous expanse of shallow flat water in the harbour. There is plenty of variety for experts too. OMWC events are held at a number of different venues in Poole, so make sure you check the event information for the precise location where we will be meeting. Should the wind be in the wrong direction, it is easy to switch venues and to find somewhere where the wind is much better.

Hi Everyone, Is anyone else heading to Bramblebush this weekend? We are already booked in at the New Forest, but will cancel if people are heading here, instead.

We aren't booked or anything, but were intending to go unless the weather is bad.

Hi, we can't make it - Xavier is sailing at Rutland all weekend. Only weekend this summer we can make is the 23/24 June. Have a good time, Nuala and boys X

More event report than Diary as the windsurf boards did not get wet. My Brother and I decided to go to Bramblebush this weekend and catch up with club members we have nor seen for a while as this is usually a popular event. Did not see anyone despite several trolls up and down the beach, but was a fantastic weekend for weather regardless. Paddled round Brownsea Island on Sat and chilled on Sunday. All camp sites were fully booked so spent the night on Swanage sea front, lovely spot to wake up to in the morning but high risk of big fines apparently, so wont be doing that again. Headed home Sunday afternoon to miss the traffic.
