A pretty select gathering but then this weekend was sandwiched between Bank Holiday North Devon and next weekend's Hayling Extravaganza - and came complete with a dodgy forecast.

But we got out both days - on Saturday we missed the 30 minute window of wind so we ended up doing rig flippy freestyle things - Carl learnt a rather impressive upwind-360-with-duck move.

After teasing us on Sunday, the wind filled in a bit allowing a rather more prolongued session - I think everyone who persevered had a good sail...

Thanks to those who turned up - Steve, Liz with Matthew and Charlotte, Andrew (on way back from last weekend's event) and to those we saw in passing - John Vesey, Bernie and Helen, Steve and Liz (the other ones!) - sorry we almost missed you!

Bit more wind today - so some blasting and some more freestyle. Got my first downwind 360!

Very pleasant sunday afternoon sail in the harbour.

Wind a bit up and down, but I was planing most of the time. Watched Carl and Jonathan doing all the twiddly bits, but based on my recent track record, I decided better safe than sorry.

A great weekend.

Arrived at the harbour on Saturday to see plenty of wind and lots of people flying up and down. Rigged the 6.2 and made my way out only to find the wind had dropped. Had a good hour or two of freestyle practise with Jonathon and learnt a new trick, upwind 360 duck (don't know the proper name). Sunday was better on the same kit but with enough wind for planing moves. Watched Jonathon pull off his first carving 360 and sail away. I had a couple of near misses but still ended up in the water with my attempts.
