One of the best wave sessions I have had this year. I hope everyone who sailed had as much fun as me. Unbelievable no breakages.....

I arrived at Inn on the Beach around 11.00 - after an arduous journey! Rain was lashing down - well along really as it was almost horizontal! I didn't see Adrian but was somewhat surprised to see John G making a valiant effort to sail (was he mad or what!!) but he soon retired to the warmth of my van for a comforting coffee. Otherwise Jonathon and Robert WS joined me for coffees at various stages through the day but at 3.00pm or so we all decided to give up and go home. I went to go after everyone else only to find I had a flat battery!! In desperation, in the still horizontal icy rain I accosted some member of Joe public and got him to give me a jump start. Ten minutes later I was home settling down infront of a roaring log fire - perhaps I should never have gone out in the first place!

Well, it was a challenge! My first attempt to get out was a bit frustrated, ended up about 3 groynes down from the Inn, then struggled back carrying kit - ouch. Had the coffee (and biscuit - thanks Mike), then when I saw Bill standing by my kit, had to have another go. Got out relatively easily this time, and shot away. Came back upwind, then fell off and lost kit contact in the shorebreak. I could probably have done a few more runs, and might have caught some waves, but I hadn't been able to see much, and discretion seemed like the better part of valour. Steve G's new flat is nice, and Brazilian puddings are lovely! No sign of Adrian though...

Arrived Late,Horizontal rain etc saw John but didn't get chance to talk (struggling into suit) 3 or 4 reches out didn't see much of any of them loved the waves and the wind hated the rain and the clold and the tremendous easterly drift so I guess 4/10 for me
