Ok, SW 4-5, choppy, but good to get out, even if it was only an hour from about 7.30! Quit about 8.30, only two other guys out, left 'em to it because I wasn't home until 10.30 as it was... :)

After 2 wasted Wednesday evenings I wasn't to be thwarted a third time. Clearly everyone else saw me, the Wednesday night harbinger of doom, coming and came off the water. They were all on 4.7m but given my recent run of bad luck with the wind, decided it was bound to drop so took the 5.5m. A bit of a mistake in retrospect...

Had an hour and a half from 7:30 to 9:00 absolutely maxed - out on my own. Would have been nice to have had a little more control but mustn't grumble...

Julie.. next time I will take your advice on sail size!

An evening sail that made up for a lot of the bad ones! Sailed from 6:50pm until after 9pm to the backdrop of a great sunset. Wind was beautifully consistent and there was lovely chop for jumping off. After work sailing at its very best!!

A few hours in decent wind and small waves at Avon ahead of the predicted rain. Should have changed to wave board and 5.0m for the last hour but decided to hang on with the bigger freestyle kit instead. Could have done with coming off the water 5 mins earlier too, I got soaked de-rigging.

Sail:3.7

Started off on a 4.5m and waveboard in the morning although the sandblasting on the way to the water should have told me it was already too much for this. Only lasted about 15 minutes and my arms were dropping off. Changed down to a 3.7 which was perfect for the rest of the day. The swell cleaned up as the tide went down and it was mandatory to get floaty air on the way out, with one or two rides on the way in. Sailed so long I got dizzy and had to go for a lie down when I got in (must take more food next time). All in all a really good session, I was warm as toast (in my winter suit) is it really summer?

A roasting hot day with a decent Southwesterly at Avon made for a pleasant afternoon with about 10 of us out. One person was out in just shorts which makes a change after all the cold and wet weather of last month. High tide came and went, not much swell today so no aerial antics, although someone still managed to snap a mast. Mr Vesey was already out when we arrived around lunch time and he was still charging around the bay late in the evening when we left - pretty normal day then!

A good afternoon blasting about in the sunshine from Steamer point on the 5.8m. What luxury it is to be able to rig up/de-rig on grass with a view over the clear blue water with the sun on your back. Looks good for tomorrow.

Excellent sail at good old windy Worthing (not wavy though). Really good time, sunny, windy, a classic Worthing day.

Only me and one other windsurfer out, very strange, but then it was a long, long walk back at the end.

Wave board weather all day at Avon beach, no rain, perfect cross shore wind with (unusually for summer) a decent swell offering some good jumping going out and some reasonable riding on the way in. Just me, Andrew, The Kiwi and about 20 or so other members of the weekday workshy club.
