Well, didn't get out sailing, but it was marvellously sunny some of the time, albeit with a very cold NW wind. Next time the forecast promises daft amounts of snow, go for it... could have done with some company!

Well, you slack lot! Adam didn't make it... but I'm here. Have I been out yet? No. Nearly did today, at Gwithian, NW, very slightly cross but mostly onshore, some kiters out, no windsurfers. Probably would have with some moral support - where are you, Gen?! Staying in Falmouth to spend time with child who is here for a few months. Cold, windy and wet on north coast, warmer and occasional sun on south. Take your pick!

Hi John - Sorry mate! I too wish I were in Cornwall with you and maybe landsurfing at the bottom of Gwithian, if nothing else. I think everyone took too much notice of the doomsayers warning of snow, ice, general oblivion and traffic chaos...But putting things in perspective, it was a little colder than usual, and there were some snowflakes, but probably a little too much panic over nothing. Quite possibly. What is it about the weather being such big news lately? Whole tv stations spent days on end watching the last storm, and made reporters stand on beachsides in rain and wind, gasping at waves and gusts just for our entertainment. And then these snowflakes were reported as if they would bring an end to life as we know it. They even scheduled the movie The Day After, so everyone could imagine they were in it!!! I hope you entered the pub quiz on my behalf and had a Cornish Cream. And several large pasties, not all at once though.
