I arrived early Saturday morning, decided there was no wind so went for a long walk. I returned to find Adrian out planing and Adrian's son Matt having fun (first ever session on the water). Most of us got out on the water around mid afternoon, by which time there was almost no wind, but the wind came in, and by 6pm it was planing weather.

Saturday night began with a trip to Swanage, where Myself, Mike T, Chris and Lyanne went for fish and chips. Then we went on the Square and Compass at Worth Matravers, where Chris M was enjoying the atmosphere and cider (best pub ever).

No wind on Sunday. I treated myself to a new sail at H2O, then went home.

Good to see so many new faces and old faces. New member Tim showed up and had fun. Also good to see a few people from the past (Andrew C and Eric).

Finally stirred myself into action around 3pm, just as Adrian was coming off the water (not a good sign). It was fun pootling around with friends, just the occasional gust. Came in about 6pm. Half hour later I realised that Mike T and Chris O were still out and planing, so I went out again. Still marginal, but a superb hour, planing all the time.

Got there early and I think I got the best of the wind and sun.
Flat water with plenty of speed in the board.
Took my son Matt for his very first lesson, but I wanted the big board for my fun, so rigged him a 5.5 and a 93L board.
He's realised that size does matter between his legs.
Maybe I'll get him a larger board for next time.......

Good to see a few old faces again

My first trip with the club. Had a really good time. Enjoyed meeting everyone. Sailing was good too, really enjoyed Bramblebush - bit of a hidden gem. The wind got up again late on Sunday afternoon so went back again. Really pleasant long board conditions. Managed a few beach starts and made it over to Browsea Island and back. It was all going well until the bit of rope that holds the boom to my mast snapped and I had to re-rig the thing in the middle of the boating lane!

Looking forward to the next trip.

Got to Bramblebush late morning on Saturday to find Adrian (& son)cruising round the harbour maxed out - must have been the curry he had the night before because I certainly wouldn't have got going! Anyhow it was a lovely day so rigged a big sail and had several stints of pottering around but nothing too exciting.....until 6.00pm when a steady decent wind kicked in and I had a brilliant hour until, unfortunately, my arms dropped off and I had to come in - leaving Andrew to sail on into the sunset! Good also to see Chris Martin, Tim and Emma, not to mention Eric, Andy, Chris & Lyanne. I couldn't make the Sunday unfortunately - but I'm looking forward to more of the same next weekend - please
