Later a good crew turned up with Heather, Bill, Adam, John G, of course host Chris and his mates, Caroline with a few friends, Michael and Beth with girls, Juan and Genevieve with triplets, Roger and crew.
While there wasn't any wind there was some decent surf and everyone caught a few loooooong rides with hellish paddles.
Not a stellar windsurfing weekend, but still alot of fun.

Came down the beach to find Stevie G, Caroline and Nick just coming in from a surf session, so took the trusty pop-out for a spin. By not being too ambitious, and concentrating on the front foot, managed to catch a few smaller waves, resulting in enormous satisfaction and foolish grins! Glad I wore the winter suit and boots though, water colder than it looked.
Later in the day felt moved to go again - this time the tide was up, and there was a real risk of ending up on the pebble bank aka the rocks. Baled out a few times when it loomed closer than seemed wise, and didn't stay out too long, thanks to exhaustion and fear! The board got bashed a bit but who cares - it's a Bic pop-out!

This morning went out with Nick on a pre-breakfest sesh - hard work, after surfing twice the previous day, but really worthwhile. Managed to get out the back but it was hard work - there must be a trick to this with a surf board! Enjoyed smaller waves, got a few rides, and since the tide was coming in, didn't have to walk so far back as I did going out. Almost starting to enjoy this surfing thing...

What a fantastic weekend. Great weather, great company and some surf thrown in as well. Have a big grin on my face just thinking about those "oh so long" rides we caught on Monday. Juan was so into the surfing he even decided to ditch the long board and try some short boarding. Not sure Gen was too impressed with how short her long board became though!!

Yup, good weekend 
Really enjoyed surfing, can't believe I'm saying it. And great to see Juan and Gen and the guys, out for the first weekend away - here's to lots more! And thank heaven I know Steve - saves me from having to have incidents to keep the average up!

Lots of fun...good to see everyone out surfing. Had a surf on Wednesday on Hayling - first time at Esso stn in a long time, but I finally started to get my short board tacks!!!!!! Well I pulled off two and a half. Goals for this year get short board tacks down and learn to loop.
