A great event. Juan, Genevieve and the boys arrived bright and early - in preparation for lots of eating and swimming before heading off for their nap. New member Neil was also early shortly followed by Steve, Late Tate and Mo (must be a good influence - Mike was nearly early!), John G, Mike - good to see after a long break, Audrey and lodger Sarah. Most of us sailed on Saturday with Audrey and Sarah opting for the surf /paddle option and Mo socialising.

Newly married Wolfgang arrived with his beautiful wife and offered the option of a bbq at his Mum's house - how could we refuse!?! We bought out the local supermarket and the Wolfgang family unit prepared some amazing salads etc as well just the right amount of strawberries and ice cream for pud!! Numerous bottles of wine and beer were consumed in the fantastic "inside / outside room)

Sunday was a lazy start but swims, paddling, biking and finally sailing were enjoyed in the sunshine.

Heather and Wolfgang combined to lay on some great hospitality which together with some glorious sunshine and the hottest day of the year made for a most enjoyable weekend. Had a sail mid Saturday afternoon and was planing (just) with my 9.5m sail but the current made it all rather hard work. When it swung around to slightly cross off from the East on Sunday Mo and I decided to cycle to Brighton - but we didn't get there! The wind might not have been very strong but it provided enough of a head wind for us to decide to turn around at Shoreham. The up side was we were back in Worthing effortlessly in what seemed like minutes! Yet again Wolfgang and his Mum - and this year Rosangela, did us proud with a grand barbeque russled up out of very little! Many thanks - and congratulations Wolfie!

What a lovely day! Arrived midday-ish, saw Evva en route to the loo, then spied J&G+3, and spent a happy period chatting, dandling, and cutting photo CDs of Cabo pix. More to come guys... Then chatted to Mike 'n' Mo - good to meet you Mo :), said hi to Neal and Steve, and thence to The Beach Hut. Light cross-shore winds... people weren't exactly steaming about!
However, rigged 6.5 m and the trusty Playmate, and spent a fair amount of time footling around, occasionally planing, working at it in the shifting, gusty cross/cross-off wind. Steve B later got out on a 9.2m, and was hammering about after a dodgy period well downwind. Left as others were considering a bbq at Wolfie's - congrats Wolfie and Rosangela - and enjoyed a leisurely drive home - marv!
