I think that can be interpreted as a drive to the airport, followed by quite a lot of hours in a big plane followed by another drive to a little airport (or maybe just a wait) and then a couple more hours in a tiny little plane followed by a drive...but the pictures do look as tempting as the cabo verde ones!!!

The trip to Punta San Carlos can be hell. I've done it twice by camper and spent two weeks there each time. The wave is probably one of the easiest most doable down the line waves I've ever ridden - twenty something bottom turns. When you go there you will spend a week getting used to the sloooooooooow pace and months forgetting it. Awake to offshore winds and surfing until lunch then hours of wavesailing. If you can get an airplane ride in it's probably worth it. I guess Sol sports have stuff pretty set up there now. I was there in 93 and 95... and it was pretty rough.
