Check out the Makaha at www.olosurfer.com and you will see that not only is the wooden board stylish again, even the fin is wooden. My materials science skills are entirely sketchy, but I think that is probably not an advancement in fin design that would be practical, just thinking of the forces that snap our fins off quite regularly.... but then remember it's a surfboard, not a windsurfer,,,
