Hello. I haven't been out to them my self but have heard good things from other people! Would love to go myself. Need to improve my waterstarting for the summer sailing on the island. Where about are you on the island?

Hi Lin. We've been to Vass once and Dahab about 8 times now although our priorities in Dahab are very much the childcare nowadays! Would recommend both. Dahab you are likely to get far more hours of wind whereas Vass has more of an atmosphere and apres windsurf scene. Go for a centre like Club Vass, Club Dahab or Neilson to ensure you get instruction included in the package as it sounds like you will benefit from this. Let me know if you want any more info

Hi Lin, I've also been to both and can recommend both places. We're actually going to Vass for the third time in May. It's a great place for windsurfing and socialising, although as Jon says the wind may be slightly more reliable in Dahab. Having said that, the second time I went to Dahab I only had about 2 days of wind. We're going with Neilson to Vass this time but I've also been with Club Vass before on a ladies week which was fab. Childcare is more of a priority now though and Neilson won out for us on that front. Basically whichever place you chose to go to you'll have a fab time and will learn heaps.

Thanks for the info, i think i may be drawn towards vass and would like to go out may or early june so hope the weather conditons and wind is not to bad at that time of year, so i can come back and have the summer to practice on the island. Does any one know if you pay a supplement if you go by yourself [as hubby cant go.
