Great venue for all abilities when tide is low which it is this weekend. We'll be there regardless of forecast with beach hut number 192 open for refreshments!! Wolfgang has said he may be down so we will either go to the George or to his Mum's place for a bbq depending on how things pan out - so let me know if you're coming so I can keep you posted about the evening venue.

High tide 9:30.

Apparently seaweed is currently in at Worthing quite badly. If this persists may move the venue as it can be a bit smelly if it stays for a while. Will make the final decision the week before.

Just to add that PRIDE is on in Brighton on the Saturday, so might need to avoid the crowds there.

Great news - I've been told the seaweed at Worthing is virtually gone so we will be sailing at Worthing on Saturday and Sunday. Will be based at parents beach hut and in the evening at the George. Full details will go on tomorrow. If you're planning on coming let me know by text preferably by lunch time Saturday so I can let you know if there are any changes and can make a booking at the George.

Hi Heather, Shef's are thinking of coming down for Saturday. Whereabouts, roughly is your folks beach hut?

Added by Andrew on 05/08/10

I'll be there, may even sneak down for a Friday sail.

Further update for Saturday's event. We're aiming to be in Worthing on the beach by 11am but it may be nearer 12! We'll be based at beach hut 192 which is a bit West of the sailing club. The car park behind the sailing club (turn right off sea place in to marine crescent, car park a little further along on left) is still open but no longer has loos due to the new development. You have to pay. The road behind the beach is Marine Crescent - free to park on road - further to carry kit (across the grass) Or park in the next car park (have to pay) and the beach hut will be to the East. We'll endeavour to have an OMWC flag flying. Venue for the evening will be either the George, just down sea Lane or at Wolfgang's Mum's place. Decision to be made on Saturday during the day so let me know if you're coming so I can keep you updated.

Heather - Nuala & I wont be down - Nuala goes off for a few days tomorrow to visit an old friend, I'll be hanging around the house until about 2pm when they leave - so I'll probably head straight to the nearest beach as there does not look to be any wind on Sunday.

Hope you have a great time!
