Pagham

Pagham is one of the better sideshore spots on the south coast as it faces SE which gives sideshore and kicks up some mellow waves in S-SSW-SW directions. Also one of the few south coast venues which is not bad in a NE-E, because the beach faces south-east. Best sailed mid tide on the push for waves.

Northerly forecast, which is perfect for Pagham. Any swell would make it really fun. Pub is the delicious Walnut Tree at East Runcton, which is situated on a nice roundabout on the way to Pagham. Juan is going down for 12 o'clock Saturday start to the sailing. Call him 077653 47256 and keep him company on the water!

Yeah, and fight off the hordes of crazies practising beach starts and synchronised drowning on the way out to the empty harbour!! Think I might prefer the scariness of Pagham x-off... but let's see what the day actually brings.

We'll be on the IoW tomorrow - hopefully the 'North Shore' will work well in a Northerly...

Avoid the A27 North-East and East of Chichester. Did 2 miles in 2 hours and finally gave up in the end. Maybe see you tomorrow. JP
