A few people timed it right and got out on Sunday afternoon (see the diaries) Sounds like the Aleing fest was good.

Had an excellent sail out on the sand bar at Hayling. One of the better days this y;ear for waves for Hayling, but boy what alot of kiters. None of them on the bar though. What a fun day.

Great sail. Swell instead of chop and I timed it to miss the rain but still have wind. Sometimes you can be lucky! Good to see some people that hadn't been on the beach for a while! Well done Audrey for getting out through the waves first time. Update from Martin who normally sails at Camber: there's no problem sailing there as long as you are considerate of other beach users.

Perfect timing for once. Got to Hayling as the rain finally stopped. The wind also dropped somewhat at this point but left behind nice clean lines of swell which were great for playing in. 5.9m was just about enough to keep planing most of the time. It was just a shame that the wind didn't hang about a bit longer. Amazing how many people turned up when the rain stopped!

Great sail with me old mucker Juanito down at Bracklesham. Very onshore but great fun in the waves. The sun even made an appearance.

Missed out on the big wind and waves during the heavy rain early on. Went down late morning as the rain was easing off. The wind had dropped and swung offshore but was still plenty for a 5.4m. The swell was still producing clean waves just over head high on the outer sand bars, a bit smaller on the inner bars, but there was no wind there so spent most of the time further out. Had a great sail for an hour or so in warm sunshine and reasonable surf until it dropped off further and it was time to wobble back in.
