Had a great sail Saturday afternoon in Portland Harbour - just didn't want to stop but when my arms felt as if they had been pulled out of their sockets and cramp set in I decided it was time to call it a day. Despite promising weather reports the same conditions didn't repeat themselves on Sunday with the wind remaining illusive. Still, an excellent weekend with a good turn out - and many thanks being due once again to Nuala and Lawrence for hosting.

I started windsurfing at around 1pm a bit underpowered then after a short break at 4, the wind increased slightly and was perfect for my 6m sail. Then for 2 hours I flew across the harbour and had the opportunity to try dozens of carve gybes, which made it my best ever sail!
Thank Nuala and Lawrence for hosting and for the accurate weather forecast ;)

Trying race kit for NWF - what fun - two days of blasting with a bunch of other people getting ready for the NWF. Had a good talk with Allan about riding by Isonic and gained a few good tips. Does anyone have a 460 and 7.5 metre sail they want to sell?

Thanks everyone for coming down to Weymouth- it was a great weekend- even though I only sailed on the Saturday.

A great sail on saturday afternoon (when the wind got up).
Classic Portland Harbour conditions.

Doris didn't get out unfortunately but the boys had a go on monday afternoon & hopefully have 'got the bug'

Thanks to Nuala's parents for providing the very convenient venue for saturday evening.
Predictably we went to the Turk's Head on sunday & the family from hell + Clare returned on sunday evening. Just a note to mention that the pub changed hands back in january & in the many years that we've been going there, has never been so empty. The food is stil great value though IMHO.

All in all a nice social weekend.
Thanks Nuala & Law for hosting

Not a good afternoon where I managed to scare everybody when I went to inspect Portland Harbour wall, unfortunately and despite a very optimistic windguru the wind did not pick up, it died! and it took me 1h30 to come back...
