Helen and I turned up at 09.30hrs in anticipation of the place being swamped by Grockles, and by 11.00hrs every car slot was taken. We heard horror stories that in the afternoon it was taking people 1 hour to get from Christchurch to Mudeford, only to find that they couldn't park at the beach, and then parking 3 miles away and walking!

Suffice to say that windsurfing was none existent, on account of non-existent wind, but we had a lovely day in the sunshine and 29 degress of heat. Mike P, Helen and little Tom were there doing the beach thing too.

I am sure that soon enough the autumn will return, as will the winds, but what a fantastic weekend of summer weather.

Similar at Gwithian, no wind and like high summer, great day on the beach.

Glorious start to my kayaking business - two paddles in one day - it felt like the Med.
