Bramblebush 7-8 July
Poole
Poole is one of the best windsurfing areas in England for beginners and intermediates due to the enormous expanse of shallow flat water in the harbour. There is plenty of variety for experts too. OMWC events are held at a number of different venues in Poole, so make sure you check the event information for the precise location where we will be meeting. Should the wind be in the wrong direction, it is easy to switch venues and to find somewhere where the wind is much better.

ok, after some consultation, due to popular demand, we are going to do what is now more generally known as a Cameron. Yep, the windsurfing opportunities of Bramblebush won as the straw poll found this was more favourable with people, and we all love melted marshmallows. no more flip flopping over the fence Juan, we can't keep up
SOOO....., we are hosting Bramblebush, we are camping at the same campsite which is the Farm, Acton Field campsite
Access to the campsite is quite simple...
Coming from Poole/Bournemouth/Dorchester, head for Wareham and follow the signs to Corfe Castle on the A351. On leaving Corfe Castle take the B3069 up to Kingston and then follow the ridge round to the left towards Langton Matravers. The campsite is on the second right turning after the village sign.
If you are coming from Swanage, as you leave the town follow the B3069 up onto the ridge into Langton Matravers. Pass Putland Farm and The Kings Arms on your left and carry on through the village. The campsite is the last turning on the left as you leave the village.
Facilities include a simple toilet block with hot showers. The showers are on a meter so make sure you bring some 20p's! There is also a chemical disposal point on site and dustbin area which is emptied regularly.
A mobile grocery van visits the site providing fresh bread, vegetables, newspapers and other essential items. If you like to be able to walk to the pub for food and drink then we have The Kings Arms only about half a mile away in Langton Matravers. Otherwise there is the now world famous Square and Compass in Worth Matravers about three miles from the campsite.
It is 4 pounds per adult.
more details to come. We might have to get to Square and Compass this time, if the weather is suitable.
You can still sponsor the charities at Brighton but sail at Bramblebush.
Bring your families, dogs etc Emma is making the trip from Essex hopefully with her 2 dogs
Also, good wishes going out to Kev who burnt himself badly at Weymouth it turns out, doing something with a valve in a motor. We miss you Kev, so get back from the Isle of Wight soon
