Wow, we finally made an OMWC event, albeit only for the Sunday. Mark stayed Poole-side on the Saturday for a somewhat gusty sail in the harbour while I entertained the kids at home (our latest addition, Jemima, is a bit too tiny to be subjected to wind blown beaches just yet). However Sunday was a lovely relaxing day - great to see some of the old crew, and very grateful to Mike P for the loan of the SUP. Oliver enjoyed it very much (sorry he wasn't so keen to share his toys with Tom :-s).

Had an epic session. Ok, the wind wasn't howling and I had to take big kit out but......I did my first ever carve gybe!! Did come off the plane, but who cares! Only my 7th outing this year, and indeed since having Oliver, so even more pleased that I finally pulled it off. AND, it was all witnessed from the shore by Mark and Oliver.

Alas I had to finally hang up my harness at this event. At 5 months pregnant I can no longer squeeze myself into it. Still, it wasn't the best conditions anyway, although Mark got a reasonable session on my Jp Xcite ride 135 and 6m sail. No other ocean-motioners made it out this weekend (although we did bump into Mike P in the car park) so it was just myself and Mark left to prop up the bar down at Poole Quay. Had a rather nice fish supper though and got to see some local parade (not sure what the event was but it involved giant fish and squid parading down the quay). All in all a pleasant if not exciting weekend.
