Fishing off Chesil Beach on Friday, then went to the boatyard carpark early Saterday morning and could not get it....full up...crazy. My unique idea of sailing this morning as first decent wind for ages was not that unique, lots of people had the same idea, lots and lots. Dont thing I have ever seen Portland Harbour so busy, it was just crazy. Parked in the big car park and carried my kit across the road, but was all worth it because it was windy, and just got stronger the longer I stayed out. Went down wind to the middle of the harbour and blasted back and forth until my arms gave out, so powered up it was easy getting back up wind.....a proper windsurf session Yeaaaah

Another great day with blue skys and strong wind. Had a few runs on a 5.2 but was a tad overpowered, changed down to a 4.2 and still well powered up. Wave sailing in the harbour!!! Well just, 3ft wind blown chop, and very windy. Trouble getting the wetsuit off, cant move my arms!

Headed down to Portland harbour as the forecast looked interesting. Started out with a 6.3 and 127ltr aero but with in an hour changed down to a 5.2 and 90ltr fsw and stayed nicely powered up in the confused onshore chop for the rest of the day. Lovely blue sky, decent wind an excellent sail

Met a Deer walking across the road in the middle of Weymouth, bit of a surprise but it was 5:30 am, we avoided touching fortunately. Got to the beach just as it started to rain, didnt slow down until around 10:00am then the wind went up a few notches. I rigged a 5.2 but was a bad choice as massivly overpowered in the gusts and the 2-3ft Southerly chop. Downhauled as much as I dared and carried on regardless, great fun. Early afternoon the wind gradualy swung to Westerly and the water went flat in the offshore wind and died down a bit, gusty but about right most of the time. The wind dropped more late afternoon then picked up again into the evening and was overpowered again but still holding on. Definately used the maximum range of my 5.2m sail today with lots of tuning and glad I had my Dads North xt base that I had refurbished as it was simple to tweak the downhaul and outhaul on the water. The guy parked next to me changed sail 5 times and still had a crap sail with much less time on the water than me. Finally came in as the sun was setting, still 2 kites out there so not the last off the water
Only downside was after an epic days sailing I stayed over but had no energy left to sail on Monday, not so windy but still good, watched till lunch time then headed home to recuperate for the next windy period. My best sail for years!!!
