A big day in Morocco. A reasonable amount of wind and pretty chunky waves. Did quite a bit of swimming. On brand new Fanatic 2011 boards - so the centre staff a bit nervous as well! Quite busy on the water with a lot of centre staff out (13 staff to about 15 guests!) and a couple of kiters (not quite as helpful). Tired muscles at the end of the day!

Day 0 of Guy's clinic (he is not here yet). Great to get on water on small(ish) board and in a summer suit. Some nice fun waves to ease back in after the rush from the airport.

Finally Essaouira delivered waves and wind. Waves not as big as earlier in the week and with the stronger winds it meant the emphasis switched from the waveriding of the first few days, to jumping on the way out.

A 5.7m was nice and comfortable in the morning. Enough to plane off the beach and try and further my loop attempts. Unfortunately I have a horrible habit of letting go of the boom at the moment - which is apparently the only way you can hurt yourself looping. I think I will be using a roll of duck tape on my next attempts....

In the afternoon the wind really kicked in. I was absolutely stacked on a 4.7m and so big jumps on the way out were the order of the day - hanging onto your outside gybe was a real challenge.

This was our last full day on the water so we milked it as much as we could, not coming off the water until late. Fortuntely just in case our aching muscles were in danger of stiffening up, Guy had arranged a trek to see the sunset - perfect!
