Expected gales did not materialise. Arrived Avon beach to flat calm! Went on to Sandbanks and got an hour of gusty but warm wind. Not best ever but I should have taken more kit!

Took the Thursday morning off work to scoot down very early to Avon beach to catch the wind and tide.
Got on the water for 9 AM and had a very good 2 1/2 hrs of F6 cross shore with 1metre swell - just 2 of us out - good fun messing around with some (if small) down the line wave riding!

Nice session out at the end of the sand bar, playing in small wind-blown waves at mid tide. So good to have sunshine, strong wind and warm water! What a treat!

Took a chance on Avon beach in an Easterly and it was pretty good. I heard from others that the previous day had been very difficult to get going. But I got down fairly early, got out and straight on the plane for mmost of the session. Good to get back on the water after a long break.

Absolutely fab sail. Strong southerly and big swell.
Did my biggest ever jump, landed with back foot slightly skew and crunched my ankle - but it was worth it!

Wind steady but not strong enough. Wish I could have got there earlier - Roger said it was fab!
