A wet and windy Bank Holiday Sunday as promised by the Weather Forecasters. A south-easterly wind meant it was on shore at Weymouth for a change with the occasional wavelets for added interest.

Great fun blasting the full width of the harbour but a bit lonely at first as several muddy campers were loath to brave the, at times, torrential rain and grey skies.

Had a blast down to the new Olympic sailing academy to get a cup of tea in the wet bar. Very nice and well worth a visit. Question- how come the boatpark car park at Weymouth can put on such crap fascilities at one of the UK's best sailing venues - beats me.

A good day in spite of the weather and one good thing - the roads were quiet for a change.
