Went to Christchurch with Helen and others, and met Carl down there for a couple of hours of fun in a Force 5/6. Helen was on a 96l and a 5.25m but it was the first time this year that she felt the cold; sounds like a new pair of gloves for Christmas. Then everyone came back to our place for Apres-Surf.

Unlucky 13th Nov for me. It was a beautiful day but the wind was not enough for my largest sail, 6.5m. After half an hour of blobbing in the harbour, I swapped boards with Helen in the middle of the pond, and I swam her 96l kit to the beach, and then put on a 135l board. But the only wind of any strength blew up for the 30 minutes that I was swapping boards at my van. So all in all after 2 hours of sailing, I had done 2 runs and 2 gybes. But at least it was 18 degrees and very balmy weather for mid-Nov; long may it continue....but with a bit more wind too.
