The last visit to North Devon for 2017 - will the Mini Convention be there? Will the kitesurfers has finally taken over? How big will the pool in the middle of the parking area be? Whatever, no doubt the Doom Bar, or if you prefer, Tribute, ale at the Beaver Inn will be well-kept and hopefully drunk to the accompaniment of a fair songstress or flickeringly fingered guitarist.

Hayling Island Season Closer!
Steve D at Hayling

Hayling Island

There are three windsurfing venues on Hayling but only the seafront is a serious contender as a venue worth visiting regularly. The other venues are only suitable in emergency situations, when it is impossible to windsurf on the sea front and, believe me, these situations arise! OMWC events often coincide with the Hayling Windsurf Car Boot Fair, on the first Sunday of the month, now held in the large car park behind the big dipper in the funfair with the Carousel cafe adjacent serving excellent breakfasts (thanks Stan!).

North Devon

North Devon usually means you will come back with slightly slimmer thighs - the walk to the water at lowtide can be a killer - but as the Loreal ad says - you're worth it!!

Weymouth

We sail at two spots here. We usually windsurf in Portland Harbour but occasionally we go to Overcombe.

Carl at Poole

Poole

Poole is one of the best windsurfing areas in England for beginners and intermediates due to the enormous expanse of shallow flat water in the harbour. There is plenty of variety for experts too. OMWC events are held at a number of different venues in Poole, so make sure you check the event information for the precise location where we will be meeting. Should the wind be in the wrong direction, it is easy to switch venues and to find somewhere where the wind is much better.
