Celebrated Eva's birthday by having an excellent sail at Weymouth. Fairly steady F4-5 and sunny all afternoon. Rigged an 8.0m at first but soon changed down to 6.5m which was more than enough. Has been years since I last sailed here - the car park and loos are stil pretty S*** but I soon realised what I great sailing had been missing!

F 4-5 was forecast but barely F4 when I arrived at 12.30. Considered opinion of everyone I spoke to was that it would pick up so rigged 6.5 but it was not enough. After an hour of blobbing along decided to change up to my 8.0 but in keping with sods law when I returned to the beach it had indeed picked up and Mike and others were happlily blasting along. Did my best to manage with the 8.0 and was flying along for a bit but was seriously overpowered so decided to call it a day.

Got out at Eastbourne (beach halfway between the pier and Langley Point) last sunday on my 8m. Not sailed there before but a good option for me last weekend as only 45 minds drive.
Was F4-5 most of the afternoon, sunny, and surprisingly enjoyable. About 10-15 other people also out.

Got out sailing for a couple of hours for the first time this year. Wind was pretty crap and my sailing was crap so things can only get better!
