A very quick blast at Hamworthy. Really nice when I first went out, but then a shower of rain came through and killed the wind. Still, there's always tomorrow

A nice little session at Ferring.

Wind was a bit up and down as clouds came through, but 5.5 was about right most of the time, just slightly overpowerd at times. Some decent swell on the outside and nice flat bits on the inside.

Good fun sailing at Ferring again, another spot with a really friendly bunch of locals.

I'm really going to have to stop this working nonsense... there's no way I can compete against you slackers!! Bah, humbug...

An excellent sail at Hayling, well powered on 5.5

Started the day thinking I ought to stay at home and get a few things doen, then I spoke to Genevieve, who was already at Hayling, so dropped everything and rushed down there, definitely the right descision. Really good day, plently of wind and warm and sunny.

A bizarre ending though, I stopped because I was getting overpowered, but within five minutes the wind just switched off completely, a bit like Vass!

Sorry Genevieve, never caught up with you, maybe we passed on the water?

Another good day at Avon Beach.

We arrived at Avon Beach to find plenty of wind. With the promise of even more we all rigged small kit. Although it was good, it was patchy on the inside and it never did pick up. After a couple of hours a heavy shower killed the wind, so I decided to pack up.

It was a good day, and third day of sailing in a row for me.

Harbour sailing, just enough wind but not quite enough water.

We all thought there wasn't any wind, but I decided to have a look at the harbour anyway. I watched someone going out on a 6.2, thinking 'no chance', but he was planing straight away. So frantic rigging and joined him on the water. Great fun for a while, but water was rushing out the harbour so I decided to quit before destroying a fin.

Just a perfec day..

Avon beach on my free-style-wave and 5.5. Nothing spectacular, but just good solid wind, some decent swell and a great crowd (mainly locals). Best sail for ages

A very very up and down day at Hayling.

Started on 5.5, which was way too much, changed down to 4.7 - about the same time as the wind dropped a bit. Nice sail with decent swell , and it was sunny, but in truth I spent more time on the beach than sailing.

An excellent sail at Meon Shore.

Wind was NW, so most spots were offshore. Arrived to find a very up/down sort of day. The wind looked good by mid afternoon, but by the time I'd rigged it died off again and everyone else came in. Decided to give it a go anyway, which proved the right choice - I had an excellent session all on my own. Finally came in when I got just a bit too overpowered, just as the after work crew arrived.

This is only the second time I've sailed this spot, both times I've found the currents really strong, particularly close in.

More harbour cruising at Hamworthy. Good while it was westerly, but once it went North Westerly (as forecast) it was offshore and gusty.

Note to self: Hamworthy's not good in NW, there's better places in Poole Harbour.

Stopped at Daymer Bay on route from Westward Ho to Gwithian.

A challenging sail, wind was very gusty and swell was all over the place. As usual Carl made it all look so easy. Great to be out at Daymer Bay though.
