I was hoping to get down to Weymouth with the GetWindsurfing crew this weekend, but windguru suggests it's not worth it, so I took the bull by the horns and popped into CBK to book some kitesurfing lessons on the way down to make the most of the wind on offer Friday.

Objective was to get into the front straps today. Managed that OK and was surprised at how stable it felt. Had a little feel for the rear one, but headed upwind and sunk the rear so need to make a conscious effort to push the rig further forward for the front strap and back again for the rear next time out.

Hoping to get some 1-2-1's with GetWindsurfing in the hope of speeding progress before heading to Spain in August.

Great evening out plaining in the sun. Adjusted foot straps to have a go next time out.

First time out at Esso Beach for quite some time. Popped down straight from work. I'd forgotten just how much seaweed clogs the fin. My Shark 150 has a large fin and grounds easier than most. On the up side, there was good wind and that's what I wanted! Great time planing back and forth with some successful tacks in between.

Lovely sun today. Up and down to the beach early to catch low tide. Hopped on the plane regularly. Nice to have a chat with someone of similar abilities to me though.

Got a parking ticket as was 30 mins late returning :( Never mind, good to be out on the water :)

I had too much of a good time yesterday to miss out today. Back to Hayling, tracked the session using the phone and runkeeper app. Pleased the phone stayed dry :)

Unfortunately not so much wind today, but good to test the phone with runkeeper anyway!

First time out at Hayling this year. Just back from 2 weeks in The Bay of Roses, Girona, Spain. Hoping to keep up momentum from Spain by getting out at Hayling and maybe taking some improver classes before going back to Spain in August.

Wasn't sure if there was too much wind for me today, but manned up and had a great time!

That's it, smaller board, bigger sail, harness and planing :)

Funny sailing into the storm!

First time windsurfing at West Wittering. Lovely sunny day with plenty of wind. Had a good time trying the harness out in the lagoon.

Trying out my new North Silver Boom & Power XTR extension

Beginner notes - Only second time out this year. Last time was the first with the new Shark 150 and North Gold mast and this time with my new North silver boom plus Power XTR Power extension. The 25% drop in ltrs from my Viper 80 to the Shark 150 was more noticeable this time as there was more wind and wave, but I'm certainly impressed with the extra speed and keen to get properly hooked in soon. Would've been better with a little more sun :)

First try of my new Fanatic Shark 150, stepping down from Viper 80

Really light winds, but great sunny day to try out my new Shark 150. I wasn't sure how I'd go having dropped ltrs from my Viper 80. It was great so I'm sure I won't be going back now. Also tried out a new North Gold mast, (finally swapping out all my old kit).
