Got down to the beach early. Beautifully sunny. Started with 92l board but it wasn't enough so changed boards. Then some pleasant cruising in the sunshine.

We were too late for the morning tide so took the risk of waiting for the afternoon low tide. Initially thought it was a mistake - a squall came through just as I got on the water and was seriously overpowered and it started raining. However, I hung on and it blew through as the rain stopped. Still fairly overpowered but great fun!

Great to see lots of people out. I was sailing a bit like a noddy which is why the grade is lower but great to be on small kit.

Expected it to be a pretty poor sail as there did not seem to be much wind. Encouraged by Gen I went out anyway and really enjoyed it. First sail of the season and the wind picked up shortly after I got on the water so was planing most of the time. Good start to the season if a little later than usual!

Sailed at Correlejo in the bay. The strange board / sail combination was due to the unusual conditions. Off shore wind that was either full on or non existent! Only sailed for an hour but it was a full on work out. Interesting rather than enjoyable but great to be able to sail in a shortie and not be cold.

Forecast promised much but didn't quite deliver. Waited for the tide to drop before heading down and the wind seemed to drop too. Wind rather up and down but still a pleasant sail and nice still to be in summer suit even though it needed the attachable arms. Good to see quite a few omwc members out.

Wind didn't pick up as early as forecast. However had a nice sail. Water amazingly flat.

This really was a bonus sail. No wind forecast so went cycling on the Downs. Got back around 5pm - such a beautiful evening decided to go for a swim but took kit in case there was enough wind. There was a bit of a breeze so decided to sail. Not planing all the time but it was fab to be on the water as the sun was setting. Great day.

Great afternoon. Rigged expecting to be blobbing about. However, wind picked up so I was planing and then sea breeze kicked in and I was flying. Really good fun.

What a great bonus. Planned on going to the beach at 3pm but it had been miserable all day, torrential rain on occasion. Finally ventured to beach about 4.30pm. It was still pretty grim but decided to rig and get on with it. Great decision. Sun came out, wind was good, some good swells further out. Had a great couple of hours before the wind dropped.
